# Fees

## What you always pay

Regardless of LISTED's fee:

* **Network gas** — paid in ETH to Robinhood Chain. Shown as "Network fee" in the panel.
* **The venue's own economics** — the AMM's swap fee, an aggregator's spread, a market-maker's markup. This is baked into the quoted output; LISTED ranks venues by what you actually receive, so this is already accounted for.

## How a LISTED fee is collected, when there is one

Instant swaps are free except on Rialto routes, so this mostly concerns the Builder API:

* **Most venues** skim the fee from the **output** token inside the settlement transaction, sent to the LISTED fee wallet. The quote you see is already net of it.
* **xPath, Nordstern, De1 and Ekubo** can't skim a fee in their own transaction, so the fee is **carved off the input** and sent as a separate transfer that the client executes right before the swap. The API returns this as a `feeTransfer` object — see [Build a swap](/listed/developers/build-swap.md).

On the Builder API the skim is `totalFeeBps` (LISTED 10 + partner bps). The partner recipient is recorded; they are paid via `feeTransfer` when a venue attaches one, otherwise LISTED remits. This is not yet a second on-chain payee on every engine.

## Fees are integer basis points

Every fee in the system is an integer number of basis points. Sub-bps fees are not possible.
