# Connecting your wallet

LISTED uses **Reown AppKit** (WalletConnect) with wagmi under the hood, so any WalletConnect-compatible wallet works — browser extensions and mobile wallets alike.

## Steps

1. Open [listed.exchange](https://listed.exchange) and click **Connect Wallet** (top right).
2. Pick your wallet. Approve the connection request.
3. If you're not on Robinhood Chain, the app asks your wallet to switch. Approve it.
4. Your address and ETH balance appear in the top-right menu. That menu also has **Activity** (your recent LISTED swaps) and **Disconnect**.

## Wrong network

If your wallet is on a different chain you'll see **"Switch to Robinhood Chain (4663)"** on the swap button. Click it (or switch in your wallet) and the app recovers.

## What you're approving, and when

LISTED never asks for a blanket approval up front. Approvals happen per-trade, at execution time:

* **ERC-20 input** — the first time you sell a given token through a given router, your wallet prompts an ERC-20 `approve` (or a Permit2 signature where the venue uses it). By default this is an **exact-amount** approval. You can opt into infinite approvals in the swap settings if you trade a token often.
* **Native ETH input** — no approval needed.
* **The swap itself** — one transaction you sign.
* **Fee transfer** (rare) — for a small number of venues that can't skim a fee inside their own transaction, an extra token transfer may be part of the flow. On the web app the fee is 0, so this doesn't apply. See [Fees](/listed/how-it-works/fees.md).

## Nothing is stored

LISTED holds no account for you. There's no email, no password, no server-side wallet. Disconnecting clears the session; your on-chain history stays on-chain.
